Toowong is a suburb of Brisbane, Australia, teeming with things to see and do. From its lively markets to its beautiful parks, there is something for everyone in Toowong.
Here is a three-day itinerary for the perfect visit to Toowong!
Day One:
Start your day with a delicious breakfast at one of Toowong’s cafes. We recommend The Little Red Cafe or The Breakfast Creek Hotel.
After breakfast, take a stroll through the Toowong Village Shopping Centre to pick up any souvenirs you may want to take home with you.
In the afternoon, head to Regatta Hotel for some lunch and people-watching. This hotel is on the water and has an outdoor seating area to enjoy views of the Brisbane River.
After lunch, walk off your meal with a stroll through Davies Park. This park is perfect for picnics, as it has plenty of green space and is located on the river.
We recommend heading to one of Toowong’s many fantastic restaurants for dinner. Some of our favorites include Siam Thai Cuisine, Harajuku Gyoza, and Apogee Restaurant & Bar.
Day Two:
On day two of your trip, we recommend starting your day with a walk through Jephson Gardens. These serene gardens are the perfect place to relax and take in the beauty of nature.
After enjoying the gardens, treat yourself to a delicious coffee at Tippler’s Tap. This unique cafe is located in an old converted church and has a relaxed vibe that is perfect for enjoying a coffee and people-watching.
Stop by Miss Kay’s Kitchen for some traditional Australian food for lunch. This family-run restaurant serves up hearty meals that will hit the spot.
In the afternoon, take a wander through Toowong Memorial Park. This park is home to numerous war memorials, beautiful gardens, and walking trails.
We recommend heading into town for some seafood at one of Brisbane’s many seafood restaurants for dinner tonight. Our favorites include The Boatshed Restaurant, Pony Dining, and Aquitaine Brasserie.
Day Three:
On your final day in Toowong, we recommend breakfast at one of the many wonderful cafes in town, such as Max Brenner or Toby’s Estate Coffee Roasters.
After breakfast, wander to Toowong Farmers Markets to pick up fresh produce or locally made goods before heading home. The markets are open from 8 am-noon every Saturday and are located in the Toowong Village Shopping Centre car park on Sherwood Road.
