What is Halal Sushi?

Simply put, halal Sushi is Sushi that adheres to Islamic dietary laws. This means the ingredients used in the dish must be halal – or permissible according to Islamic law.

All seafood is Halal. So, yes, Muslims can eat Sushi.

However, Sushi could be haram because Sushi uses alcohol called mirin to cook the rice. And alcohol is haram according to Islamic dietary law.

So, to make it halal, replace mirin with lime water or don’t use mirin for cooking the rice.

Been there for the first time and was in love with their food. All the items we have ordered were freshly prepared and taste was so good. Most favourite dish was caterpillar (just the shape) sushi. (Google Review)

The Avenue Japanese Restaurant

Reviews:

Came here on a Saturday night to check out the vibe. The interior is classy and elegant. It is pricier than other places but you get generous servings. The service can improve, sometimes all waiters disappear and there’s nobody around. If you want to dine in elegance with a tasty Japanese cuisine, you enjoy it. The Ramen is my favourite! Dropped by here for a late lunch on Sunday and was warmly greeted by many staff. Broad choice of cafe/brunch and Japanese food. Everything was very delicious, food arrived quickly, decently priced, and good proportions. (Google Review)
