QS World University Rankings has been published for the past 18 years and is considered prestigious. This ranking is created by Quacquarelli Symonds, an international organization headquartered in London specializing in higher education.

The rankings are based on six different categories: academic reputation (40%), employer reputation (20%), faculty/student ratio (10%), citations per faculty member (10%), the proportion of international students (5%) and proportion of international faculty members (5%).

What Is the QS World University Ranking System?

The QS World Ranking system is a ranking of universities around the world. It’s based on six indicators: academic reputation (40%), employer reputation (10%), faculty/student ratio, citations per faculty, international staff and students, and proportion of international teachers.

The rankings are updated annually in September. This year’s list includes over 1,200 universities from 80 countries, and this list updates the previous one with new data collected since then. 

To compile their rankings, they have developed three main categories that measure different aspects of education quality: teaching environment (30%), research environment (30%), and employability or industry outcome (40%).
