Easy Italian Meatball Sub Recipe

This recipe is easy to follow with simple ingredients and customized with Italian flavors.


For the meatballs:

  • Ground beef (85% lean)
  • Italian bread crumbs
  • grated Parmesan cheese or Cheddar cheese
  • cloves garlic, minced
  • egg
  • salt
  • black pepper
  • olive oil

For the subs:

  • Italian bread rolls, sliced in half lengthwise
  • Marinara sauce
  • Mozzarella cheese, shredded


  1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees F.
  2. In a large bowl, combine beef, Italian bread crumbs, Parmesan cheese, garlic cloves, egg, salt, and pepper. Mix well using your hands.
  3. Form mixture into meatballs (about 24-26).
