The UTS Executive MBA in Entrepreneurship (EMBAe) is for mid-senior level leaders, changemakers, and entrepreneurs.

It aims to move experienced managers into executive-level by transitioning them from operational to strategic thinking.

The program equips you with the skills and meets with the appropriate individuals to help you develop your business idea.

It’s for people with innovative and creative ideas who want to see them through to completion, either as a startup entrepreneur or as a change agent in established organizations.

Entrepreneurs and innovators will enjoy the one- or two-year program tailored to them. The program’s flexible modular structure allows you to study in stages while working on your entrepreneurial or innovation project.

Duration

Complete the program with flexible options:

  • Accelerated one-year study plan or
  • 1.5 years full-time or
  • 2 years part-time

The course delivery mix evening and/or weekend classes on campus and online learning.

Entry Requirement

Applicants for the Executive MBA program must have a UTS-recognized bachelor’s degree or an equivalent or higher qualification or provide other general and professional qualifications evidence that indicates their capacity to pursue graduate study.

Professional experience requirement:

  • At least six years full-time, or part-time equivalent, professional work experience.
  • The relevant work experience must be demonstrated through a CV and a Statement of Service, confirming the dates of employment, and the position held within the organisation.

Interview requirement: 

  • The director of the EMBA program will personally interview each applicant.

A flexible program of 10 core, 2 elective, and 6 study pathway subjects:

Core subjects

Core subjects bring you up to speed with the latest thinking in key business disciplines. 

Subjects including Applied Financial Management, Accounting Practices, and Tools, Delivering Customer Value, Business Analytics, Business, and Political Economy, and Strategies and Business Models are delivered online, whereas subjects including Adaptive Leadership Lab and Strategic Design Studio are delivered in intensive block mode on campus. 

Stream subjects 

Stream subjects in Corporate Transformation, Nation Building, and Entrepreneurship enable you to deepen your knowledge and apply new skills by engaging in research and real problem solving for your projects. 

These subjects are delivered in a blended model with between 10 and 40 hours per subject on campus.

You can choose from a range of Elective subjects to suit your level of experience and interests.
